introduction to functions

In mathematics, a function is a relation between sets that associates to every element of first set exactly one element of the second set

  • a relation ff from set AA to a set BB is called function, if each element of AA is mapped with a unique element on BB.
f:ABf:A\to B
  • range of function B\subset B
  • range of f={yyB,(x,y)f}f = \{y \mid y \in \mathbb{B} , (x,y) \in f \}
